We’ve worked with Nationwide to introduce a new approach to colleague comfort, built around innovative fabric technology designed to help regulate body temperature throughout the working day. At the centre of this is the Wellbeing Top, created using 37.5® fabric technology and designed to support colleagues working in changing environments, fluctuating temperatures, and varied day-to-day activity.

A more comfortable and inclusive uniform experience

Challenge
Colleagues needed a uniform that not only performed well in changing temperatures, but also supported a more inclusive and flexible wardrobe approach across all roles. With thousands of colleagues working across a wide branch network, consistency, comfort, and accessibility were key considerations.

Solution
We introduced a range of garments designed for all colleagues, with wardrobe options that are not defined by gender. The Wellbeing Top, made with 37.5® fabric technology, sits within this approach, helping regulate body temperature while offering flexibility and comfort throughout the day.

Outcome
Colleagues across Nationwide now have access to a consistent, inclusive uniform range designed for everyone, regardless of role or gender identity. This supports both comfort and confidence at work, while ensuring a unified experience across all branches.

The Wellbeing Top is available as part of Nationwide’s wider uniform range, supporting all colleagues across 605 branches and more than 4,800 team members.

Designed for wardrobe flexibility and available for all colleagues across all genders, the top forms part of a consistent, practical uniform solution that works across roles and environments.

From customer-facing interactions to busier periods on the branch floor, comfort plays an important role in helping colleagues stay focused and confident throughout the day.

Built with 37.5® fabric technology

The Wellbeing Top is made using 37.5® fabric technology, which is designed to help regulate body temperature.

The fabric works by actively managing moisture and heat at a micro-level. It draws moisture away from the body, allowing it to evaporate more efficiently and helping maintain a more consistent and comfortable temperature throughout the day.

In practical terms, this means the fabric responds to the wearer, helping them stay comfortable whether conditions are warm, cool, or changing throughout a shift.

A uniform designed around real working conditions

The decision to introduce the Wellbeing Top was driven by a clear objective: to help colleagues feel more comfortable in environments where temperature and activity levels naturally fluctuate.

Across branches, colleagues move between different tasks, customer interactions, and areas of the workplace, all of which can create varying levels of comfort throughout the day.

By incorporating performance-led fabrics into everyday uniform pieces, Nationwide has been able to offer a more adaptable wardrobe solution that supports colleagues in real working conditions.

A consistent approach across the organisation

By rolling out the Wellbeing Top across all branches, Nationwide has ensured consistency in both appearance and experience for colleagues nationwide.

This means every colleague has access to the same level of comfort-focused uniform, regardless of role or location.

Designed to support people, not just performance

The Wellbeing Top reflects a wider shift in uniform design, one that considers how clothing can actively support wellbeing, not just appearance or practicality.

By combining technical fabric innovation with everyday wardrobe essentials, the range helps create a more comfortable working experience across the organisation.
