Dimensions Wins Two GO Procurement Awards in Scotland

Dimensions celebrated a successful evening at the GO Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland, receiving two prestigious accolades for its collaborative work with NHS National Services Scotland and Scottish manufacturer Haven PTS.

The awards recognised an innovative partnership that combined public, private and third-sector expertise to create a sustainable UK manufacturing solution for NHS Scotland nursing uniforms.

 
Recognising Collaborative Innovation

Following the successful renewal of the NHS Scotland uniform contract in 2013, Dimensions worked closely with NHS National Services Scotland and Haven PTS to establish a Scottish manufacturing programme for garments within the nursing uniform range.

The project demonstrated how collaboration across sectors could deliver high-quality products while creating lasting social value and supporting local employment.The partnership received the GO Sustainability / Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year Award, recognising its positive impact on sustainable procurement and responsible manufacturing.

The team also achieved Highly Commended in the GO Procurement Innovation or Initiative of the Year Award, highlighting the creativity and innovation behind the project.

 
Building Sustainable Manufacturing

The awards were judged by a panel of procurement experts from across Scotland and the UK, who recognised organisations making a meaningful contribution to public procurement and the Scottish economy.

Commenting on the achievement, Commercial Director Linda Harrison said:

"This procurement initiative successfully brought together public, private and third-sector organisations to support the growth of a sustainable social enterprise. By combining our manufacturing expertise, quality management, process design and economies of scale, we were able to help Haven PTS manufacture garments for the NHS Scotland contract. As well as delivering high-quality uniforms to the customer, the project has created strong foundations for Haven PTS to continue growing its business and creating future employment opportunities."
