Dimensions Raises Over £10,000 for Charity in 2019
Supporting our communities has always been an important part of who we are.
In 2019, colleagues across Dimensions came together to raise an incredible £10,665 for three fantastic charities through a wide range of fundraising activities.
The funds were shared between:
- Doorways Derby
- Derbyshire Mind
- Save the Children
From charity food days and sponsored runs to our annual Summer Fête and festive fundraising events, colleagues embraced every opportunity to support causes that make a real difference to people's lives.
Supporting local communities
Doorways Derby provides practical support for people experiencing homelessness across Derby. As well as fundraising, we donated warm clothing to help people in need throughout the colder months.
Craig Wheatley, Chairman and Co-founder of Doorways Derby, said:
"On behalf of Doorways, I'd like to thank Dimensions for choosing us as one of their charities. The clothing donations have been invaluable and the funds raised will help support the running costs of our new van, allowing us to continue helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community."
Supporting mental health
Derbyshire Mind received funding to help deliver its Enjoying Derbyshire programme, which provides free wellbeing activities designed to improve mental health through community-based support.
Debbie Locke, Fundraising Officer at Derbyshire Mind, said:
"Dimensions has gone the extra mile for mental health. Every donation helps us continue delivering projects that improve wellbeing across Derbyshire. We'd like to thank everyone at Dimensions for their incredible commitment and support."
Supporting children around the world
Funds raised for Save the Children helped support the charity's work to improve children's lives across the world.
Annabel Garner, Community Fundraising and Engagement Manager, said:
"We're incredibly grateful to everyone at Dimensions for raising such an impressive amount. Support like this helps us continue working towards a better future for children everywhere."
A culture of giving back
Reflecting on the year's fundraising, Hayley Brooks, Managing Director at Dimensions, said:
"Fundraising is an important part of our culture. It's something our colleagues genuinely enjoy getting involved with, and it's a wonderful opportunity to support charities doing incredible work both locally and nationally."
We're incredibly proud of everyone who took part. Every event, donation and challenge helped make a meaningful difference, and together we were able to support organisations changing lives every day.
