Purpose built for the
HEART Pocket

St John Ambulance has introduced the HEART Pocket – the smallest and lightest defibrillator available. Weighing just 700 grams, it is designed to fit easily into a pocket, giving responders fast access to life-saving equipment when every second counts.

Working in collaboration with St John Ambulance, we developed a Class 2 hi-vis jacket designed specifically to support this innovation.

Pockets designed to carry what matters most

The jacket features two bellows-style pockets, sized to hold the HEART Pocket securely. Designed for both left- and right-handed wearers, each pocket includes an expanding pleat to comfortably accommodate the device. A combination of Velcro and stud fastenings helps keep it safe and secure while on the move.

An additional pocket provides space for further essential medical kit, ensuring responders have everything they need close to hand.

Thoughtful features designed to support responders

The jacket also includes a range of thoughtful features designed to support responders in their day-to-day work.

  • These include a Click Fast dock on the left side and a radio loop on the right, helping keep essential equipment secure and within easy reach.

  • Bi-stretch fabric supports comfort and flexibility, allowing for ease of movement throughout the day.

  • Side panels with retro tape and elastane provide added stretch and comfort.

  • Multiple Velcro badge placements; on the back, left and right breast, and both front pockets, allow for clear role identification.

  • Functional shoulder pieces feature a zip insert and Velcro adjustment, helping ensure a better fit across different body shapes and sizes.

Pouches for every event

Bespoke branded pouches have been developed to store epaulettes for each role at events, helping teams stay organised and ensuring everything is ready to “grab and go” in preparation for each event.

Pride in action

St John Ambulance designed 300 Pride lanyards for Pride 2025 as a visible show of support and celebration.

They celebrate, support and amplify the voices of all the incredible people who make up their teams. This is also reflected internally through their Pride Network, which is led by their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion steering group.

Cadet Camp 2024

The Cadet Camp takes place every five years, giving Cadets the opportunity to take part in activities such as sports, cooking, orienteering and Adventure Skills.

The camp helps develop core skills including communication and teamwork, while also creating space to share meals, play games and build long-lasting friendships.

For the 2024 Cadet Camp, we provided printed T-shirts and jackets for the volunteers supporting the event.
