Sainsbury’s successful in-store colleague t-shirts for Sport Relief
Posted on 04 April, 2016
For the fourth year, Dimensions was able to support supermarket Sainsbury’s with their in-store colleague t-shirts for the Sport Relief charity. This year, 74,000 promotional t-shirts were dispatched for the in-store colleagues to wear during the run-up to the event in March 2016.
The limited edition t-shirts were purchased by colleagues for a £5 donation, with all of the money raised from the sales going straight to Sport Relief. This money helps to fund over 2,000 projects across the UK, as well as helping those from within the poorest communities worldwide. Sainsbury’s has been working with Comic Relief since 1999 and have now raised over £100 million for the charity.
Although the t-shirts were only worn for a limited time around the event, planning began in 2015 when Dimensions Account Manager, Natalie Walsh, began discussing the project and proposed forecast with Sainsbury’s.
Natalie explained, “The demand for the Sport Relief t-shirts really exceeded expectations this year, with the highest demand that we have seen since we started supporting the project four years ago. It is always a very popular event with both Sainsbury’s colleagues and customers, which makes a really enjoyable project for all involved, especially since planning begins so far in advance. We are really happy to be able to provide these promotional t-shirts for Sainsbury’s and assist in supporting such a fantastic cause”.
